My god, this week has been hell! So my partner struggling with drink and mental health crisis. Dealing with it on my own trying keep a roof over our head as we have naighbour problems that police involved with. (Hes not in the wrong btw they are harrasing us) Trying keep him calm feom kicking off and making problems worse. Meanwhile trying keep normal for our daughter and shield her from it all. Luckly my dad took our daughter for the day but i have had to lie and just say all his mental health. This is getting more and more. Dont know how ment to get into his head anymore i have tryed everytging in the book! Xx

So sorry you’re having to manage all that Locket725, it must be really rough with your daughter involved. 😢
As a child of a recovered alcoholic, I think it’s so important you continue to give your child a stable home and a mum who isn’t completely fried from shouldering all this stress. Remember to look after yourself as well as her!
It sounds like you’ve not told your dad about the drinking. Do you think he’d be able to offer more support if you told him, or would he react badly?
