Somebody supporting another with cocaine addiction
Hi , new member , me n my husband been trying to help our 31yr old son with his crack addiction, it's been almost 2years , I'm really struggling at the moment n don't know what to do anymore, it's got to the point I don't want him in my house , it's ruined our relationship with my other 3 children who are older than him , my 2 daughters refuse to come round with our grandchildren 😭

I'm so sorry you're going through this Sandra. Two years is a long time and I can almost hear how worn down you are in what you’ve written. 😢
As a parent myself I understand how tough this is, but my advice is to remember you've got four children in this situation, not one. Right now your daughters won't bring your grandchildren round, which tells you something important about what this is doing to your whole family.
As painful as it is, your son is 31 and ultimately he's the only person who can choose to get help. You and your husband have done everything you can... Sometimes the kindest thing you can do for someone you love is to stop shielding them from the consequences of their choices.
Continue to support from a distance, but don’t let him ruin your life and the lives of your family. 💙

Thank you , we've got him back into a recovery home in another town, I really hope he tries hard this time, he's just had a new baby born on Saturday , n he's been there for her , I know he loves his kids but he constantly let's us all down, it's so sad , hope your OK too x
