Somebody supporting another with alcohol addiction
After supporting my friend through addiction etc. for years. He went into rehab November. Relapsed May. Is working and is a functional alcoholic once again. I never thought I’d walk away but I have. Blocked. It’s hard as he only lives 2 doors away but I’m sticking with it. The only person who can look after our mental health is ourselves

So true - we have to prioritise our own wellbeing and mental health - however that’s so hard to do when you are in the thick of it.
