My 21 year old son is drinking heavy. He lives with his Dad and Stepmum. They are away this weekend, he hasn’t answered my calls or texts. They monitor his coming and goings with the ring doorbell so I know he has been out today. We are going through a bad patch with volume of alcohol. Just feel so scared and worried something will happen to him. Feel I’ve asked as many times as I can if they have seen him on the camera. Just hate this feeling, just want to bring him to my house and look after him. He’s not interested in support.

100% can relate to this. In the worst times with our son, we’d be checking the cameras and keeping our phones on loud volume through the night if we were away. In the end this got so bad for our health (mind and body) we had to stop looking and also turn phones to silent mode overnight.

Thank you for your message. I’ve been at work today which does offer some escapism so I’m ok. He’s been up and about today so fundamentally he’s alive. One day at a time. Hope you are ok x
