Somebody supporting another with alcohol and cocaine addictions
Hi all
I takevit that the reason why we are all here is because we have something in common. Im no different. For over a years I've watched my son spiraling with his alchol use. Over the years I've tried to implement support for him, talking therapies friends family. Back then he was in denial, saying he can manage it, and he hasn't got a problem. Most recently the mother of his 3 year old daughter said she believes he is taking drugs....I never ever thought that I would see my intelligent so even consider taking drugs. We found empty bags of cocane hidden in his room. Ashamed and embarrassed he admitted to taking it, but says, its because he has been stressed and struggling with anxiety. Ive known for a while that he is depressed, but he will deny it. Since returning from university 5 years ago he has spiralled He lies all the time regarding his alcohol intake. He has a full time job, and is very professional, but this is really taking a toil on me. Im struggling and it gives me anxiety stopping me in doing my own job....my husband doesn't get involved, and finds it difficult to be emotionally attached. So im alone
