Some please help , I am besides myself with constant fear, anxiety waking up every morning crying. I am so scared of losing my 25yr old son to cocaine its making me feel ill. He has seizures every time, he must of had 20 seizures 3 of them he was admitted to hospital the he is in the back of his car. After 30 days clean ( this is the first time he has done 30 days ) he went bk to cocaine a couple of days ago. He is getting badly with phychosis , He is ruining his relationship with girlfriend... He was out of work for a 1 and half, However he has got a job and worked there for 4 weeks now

Hi Ksdm, I've just replied to you on my post but only just read this. It's no wonder you are beside yourself. Having seizures is a different matter. I have a friend who's son also has alcohol and seizures. There is absolutely no help out there unless they want it. My friend asked for her son to be sectioned he's that bad but because he's a adult, although a very vulnerable adult, there's nothing anyone will do because he has to do it himself. The worry of having a son like this is tremendous but unfortunately he has to want to stop. I wish I could help you. Please look after yourself x

He says he hates stuff and hates putting me through it, I do know that he is trying as 30 days for him is an achievement.. It doesn't help that he hs depression, anxiety, undiagnosed adhd. I really dont know what changed a year and half to make him choose this ...

Sorry, I put the wrong name! 30 days is a great achievement and just goes to show he's trying,it's the getting help after coming off that's just not there. My son also is ADHD and suffers from mental health and depression and again they won't do anything unless they're no drinking taking drugs etc.

Too be honest I have no idea whats going on as it started where he was doing it every 2 weeks eventually every 4 days then every 10 days then it went 20 days twice then 30 days, He even did it through xmas eve and on xmas day, I found him midnight in passenger seat of his at midnight xmas eve. Safe to say our xmas was terrible... Also I do no he struggles with his emotions., He told me its like a medication. Also once he starts he can not stop x

Not a solution to all your problems, but if he’s having seizures and you can prove that to his GP, they should be able to take his driving license off him if that’s something you think might help?

Such an awful feeling of helplessness and most of us on this site will have been through this and that's the reality..you both helpless against this awful disease. All the change must come from him and you have to let him reach his own rock bottom sadly. Look after yourself mentally and physically and get support from counselling or from Al Anon. You didn't cause it, you can't control it and you can't cure it. Take care

I’m so sorry your going through this I’m in a similar situation my son just turned 18 having seizures from Xanax but won’t get help and taking opioids he’s okay some days depends on the friends he is with unfortunately there is no help but at least we’re here to try and support you so if you need to talk we’re here
